Workbench.library

OPEN

The text color on Workbench can be incorrect after installing workbench.library 45.131.

Workaround: Use SYS:Prefs/Fonts and save current font preferences.

Genesis TCP-IP

Matt Hey

Solvedby Matt Hey

CLOSED

Using the menu Settings->Snapshot will make the Genesis icon a tiny white icon

Just load and resave all Genesis icons with your 3.9 SYS:Tools/IconEdit to convert them to proper GlowIcons.

OPEN

Icons of drawers are always treated as "drawer type" icons, even if one explicitly sets them to be of type "project"

Genesis TCP-IP

Arnljot Arntsen

Workaround by Darren Stevens

OPEN

Genesis reports it cannot put a device online, despite being already conected and functional.

See Note (1)

Workaround: It does not stop the device working, and you'll also find it only occurs when you first open the device. Going offline, then online again won't cause it to reappear.

05

PlayCD

Ralph Babel

OPEN

PlayCD sets scsi_SenseLength to 256, which is outside the valid bounds as defined in <devices/scsidisk.h> and thus rejected with IOERR_BADLENGTH

Workaround: PlayCDKludge is only meant for owners of GVP (omniscsi.device)and A2091 SCSI adapters  and can be downloaded from http://babel.de/amiga.html

06

appp.device 3.4

Kevin Hoague

OPEN

Using dialup connections displays the message "SANA2 COULD NOT BE PUT ONLINE"

Workaround:
Use appp.device from the OS3.9 cd if using dialup, untill we hopefully get a fix from the author.

Notes:

(1) Genesis sends S2_ONLINE before sending S2_CONFIGINTERFACE to the SANA-II device. This was done to support devices that use transient connections, e.g. modems. Most Ethernet SANA-II devices have been written with Genesis in mind, and they ignore the initial S2_ONLINE request and return success. (Trevor Scroggins).
